This systematic review aims to explore the impact of health informatics on nurse performance within the Riyadh Health Cluster, Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the roles of communication, empowerment, and occupational stress. The study focuses on how informatics adoption enhances performance, promotes professional autonomy, and mitigates stress among nurses and nurse managers. An integrative systematic review design was employed, incorporating qualitative thematic analysis to synthesize evidence from 20 peer-reviewed studies published between 2021 and 2025. The review followed PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) reporting guidelines to ensure methodological transparency. Thematic analysis was applied to identify key patterns across selected literature. Data were extracted from reputable databases, including PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar, using structured inclusion and exclusion criteria. Three central themes emerged effective communication through digital platforms, empowerment via informatics integration, and occupational stress and adaptation. Results revealed that health informatics significantly improved coordination, decision-making, and efficiency, while empowerment and training enhanced job satisfaction and confidence. Conversely, technical challenges and workload demand contributed to stress, which managerial support and training effectively mitigated. This review contributes to the understanding of informatics-driven performance improvement in Saudi healthcare. It underscores the importance of user-centered system design, continuous professional development, and supportive leadership in optimizing nursing outcomes through digital transformation.
